The man cocked his weapon again and aimed it at Harlow. A harsh warning and the threat of a gun were terrifying.
"Mr. Moris?" My jaw dropped.
Though I was relieved to see a familiar face, the rifle he carried was no mere toy. That scared the hell out of me.
"Hey, sir. It’s me, Harlow. The guy who escorted her to your club, remember?"
"Yes, but now you’ve become a rogue, so don’t touch her," Mr. Moris growled in the same arrogant tone he used earlier when Harlow spoke.
"We once had dinner at the same table in your club, don’t you remember that?" Harlow frowned as he studied the middle-aged man.
"Yes, I’m the club owner, and it’s my duty to protect all my staff. Bad news, you’re not my employee." Mr. Moris did not lower his tone and remained alert with the gun aimed at Harlow.
The dark-haired man stood silent, perhaps weighing something before letting me go. "Alright, alright. I won’t hold you back," Harlow stepped back a few steps, raising his hands to his sides.
