33: Rogue Camp

I coughed. My eyes blinked several times to clear the blur in my vision. My hand lifted, and I rubbed my eyes repeatedly, but there was still no light that I could see.
My neck got stiff, and when I lifted my body, I realized I had been sleeping face down. A sharp pain shot through my neck and back.
“Oh, damn.” I cursed in a harsh whisper.
Holding back the pain, I winced and bit my lower lip. My hand crept on my neck, which was covered in gauze and lots of bandages. Before I could lift my hand higher to touch the wound on my back, the sting stopped me from moving further.
“Damn, girl! Stop it! It hurts!” Mythril protested with an annoyed howl.
No longer intending to reach for the wound on my back, I finally pushed my body upright with both elbows. My eyelids blinked again to adjust to the dim light. Slowly, I saw the silhouette of my body on the tent wall.
