Samantha stood frozen for a moment. Nicholas quietly clutched the ring in his hand and began to wheel himself out of the room.
Startled, Samantha chased after him. The way he kept his head down, looking all dispirited, made her uneasy. "Nicholas, where are you going?"
"If Caitlin doesn't like it, I'll just throw it away," Nicholas pouted like a child throwing a tantrum.
