Dominic noticed the commotion and walked over to the trio.
Lisa clung to him like a lifeline. "Dad! What's going on? Did someone trick you and Mom?"
"We've only recently confirmed that our babies were switched at birth. Your biological mother suffered complications during childbirth and didn't survive… We're sorry for your loss," Dominic said with a sigh.
A chill ran through Lisa's body.
Suddenly, it all made sense why the lady before her could easily receive the lavish pampering she herself had begged for in vain. The mountains of luxury gifts were the result of 20 years of guilt and compensation.
