If he said no, or made up another excuse, I would be spending another Friday night alone at home with my bed and Netflix. Kelly and I were supposed to go to a party together, but she totally forgot about the date she'd planned with James earlier in the week. I absentmindedly dialed Ken's number, almost hanging up when it seemed like it was just going to ring forever until he finally answered.
"Flower?" He called out. I couldn't help but take note that he was out of breath. What the heck could he possibly be doing?
"Hi. I'm surprised you even answered, you haven't talked to me since you canceled our movie date on Monday," I replied, letting my annoyance seep into my tone. He needed to know how I felt, but I didn't want to come right out and say it. That was too much confrontation for my liking.
