Jerome's head spun, and he staggered back a step.
After a brief moment of shock, he grabbed his man by the collar, veins bulging on his forehead, and shouted, "What are you talking about?"
The man swallowed hard. "It's true, Mr. Cooper. The fire trucks are already on their way, but… everyone in the villa went home since they had the day off… except Mrs. Cooper. She didn't leave."
"Damn it!" Jerome cursed, shoving the man aside and sprinting toward the exit.
Madison grabbed him tightly. "Rome! You can't go! Dami is in critical condition, and he needs you to make decisions. He's your son!"
Jerome forced himself to calm down.
Martin's sweat was dripping from his forehead, and his voice trembled. "Mr. Cooper, Dami's surgery cannot be delayed. Sending him abroad isn't an option, and without Dr. Payne, we can't guarantee success…"
Jerome made a rapid decision. "Have your hospital's best surgeon perform the operation. Whatever the outcome, I accept it."
