Julian stared at his phone, not bothering to send another message after seeing Aria's meme response. When he first saw the trending topic, he'd clung to a sliver of hope that her marriage to Aiden was merely a business arrangement.
But now that World Entertainment had released their official statement, whether the contract was real or not hardly mattered anymore.
Because clearly, Aria and Aiden weren't going to divorce. What might have started as pretend had obviously become real.
"Huh," Julian muttered bitterly to himself. "Always a step too late."
Meanwhile, Aiden's notifications were blowing up even more than Aria's.
He had just finished scanning the contract to send to Lucas when an unexpected call came through his phone. His dark eyes studied the unfamiliar number on the screen, and he only answered just before it would have gone to voicemail.
