Aria’s POV
I stared out at the falling snow as Aiden drove us to the airport. The weather forecast had been right—the first snowfall of winter had finally arrived in New York, covering the city in a pristine white blanket.
"Your flight's at 5:40, right?" Aiden asked, his eyes focused on the slippery road ahead.
I nodded, clutching my handbag a little tighter. It was just a week-long international performance tour, yet as we got closer to the airport, I felt an unexpected heaviness settling in my chest.
The airport was bustling with holiday travelers when we arrived. Aiden's warm hand found mine the moment we stepped out of the car, and I instinctively moved closer to him, seeking shelter from both the cold and the crowd.
"You should go through security now," I said after we'd checked my luggage, knowing he had a business dinner that evening. "You'll hit traffic if you wait any longer."
