"Theodore, quit messing around." Victoria's first reaction was sheer disbelief.
He had to be joking—there was no way he was serious.
"I'm not kidding. I had a fight with her before I left. She said if I went to find you, I shouldn't bother coming back." Theodore gave a soft laugh. "Now I'm officially homeless. Looks like you're stuck with me."
Victoria was speechless.
In that moment, she felt like she was looking at the same Theodore from their school days, always finding ways to guilt-trip her just like this.

"But I stay in the dorms, remember? I don't have space to take you in," she replied quietly.
