The long silence in the living room was getting on Grace' nerves.
Sure, Theodore was her little brother, the one she'd grown up with. But when he got pissed, he was seriously scary—even Grace had to tread lightly.
Her usually vibrant face looked pale. Those dark eyes, so much like Theodore's, held a stubborn glint.
"If you've got something to ask, then just ask. Why are y'all staring at me like that?"
The vibe was seriously creeping her out.
After that, she rubbed her arm self-consciously and tossed aside the throw blanket draped over her.
Before Theodore said a word, Davina jumped up first, glaring and storming straight over. She smacked Grace hard between the shoulder blades.
"You damn girl, where the hell have you been all these years? Was it Victoria's fault?"
Hearing that name made Grace's eyes flicker. She turned to Davina instantly, "Victoria? Where is she now?"
If she could, she really did want to see Victoria again.
No way was her sudden disappearance all unrelated to her.
