After watching Prescott drive away, Camila wandered through the garden in their community neighborhood.
Sunlight filtered through the patchy tree leaves, casting soft shadows over her face, which still held a faint flush. Thinking about that sudden, almost possessive kiss from Prescott made her cheeks burn hotter, a warmth that refused to fade.
Camila wasn't even sure what was going on earlier-her head had gone completely blank and she just said yes to his three-month proposal without thinking it through.
Was she regretting it now?
She froze for a second, unable to give herself a clear answer. Her mind was a mess, and she didn't want to dig too deep into her feelings.
Oh well, it's just a three-month agreement, not like that guarantees anything. Even if they do end up together, breaking up later isn't the end of the world either, right? Life's too short to obsess over stuff like this-things just don't always fall neatly into place when it comes to love.
