Chapter 15
By the time Rosalind got home, it was already past midnight. The light in Adonis' room was still on, so she knocked gently on the door.
A few seconds later, the door opened, and two faces peeked out.
"Mommy!"
"Aunt Rosalind."
Lyla usually got sleepy right after dinner. Rosalind found it surprising that she was still wide awake when it was almost midnight.
"Why aren't you in bed? Are you bothering Adonis and keeping him up?" Rosalind asked in a slightly chastising tone.
Lyla pouted and blinked innocently while defending herself, "It was Adonis who wanted to show me his childhood photos and some of his paintings. I think Adonis' paintings are amazing. I got so caught up looking at them that I forgot the time."
Upon hearing Lyla's words, Rosalind's curiosity was piqued, and she joined in to take a look. Although she wasn't an expert, just one glance was enough for her to see Adonis' remarkable talent.
She couldn't help but gasp in admiration. "Adonis, how many years have you been
