As night fell, the newly established meat fondue spot buzzed with conversation. The air was thick with rising steam and the rich aroma of simmering spices.
Nadia, Wendy, and Sarah sat around a table, the broth bubbling enticingly in the pot at the center.
"This place is seriously good," Sarah said, dipping a slice of beef brisket into the broth and popping it into her mouth. Her eyes half-closed in bliss. "Eating meat fondue with you two feels like the pinnacle of life."
The table was overflowing with dishes—chuck roll, brisket, foie gras… It was a mouthwatering spread from end to end.
"Living the good life, huh? Stick with us and there'll always be meat on the table," Wendy said smugly, raising an eyebrow.
"Wendy, you're getting prettier by the day. Thanks for taking care of Nadia all this time, and cheers to that." Sarah raised her glass of red wine.
Wendy had visited them a few times while Nadia was pursuing her PhD in Falveria, always bringing along treats.
