I stood at the entrance, letting out a quiet sigh as I braced myself to step inside.
Out of nowhere, Sarah blocked my path. I glanced at her, expression flat.
With her arms crossed and her chin tilted up smugly, she said, "Alpha Oliver, if I’m not mistaken, the Luna you brought tonight... isn’t she the same Ella Miller who always shows up at those pack gatherings?"
I stared at Sarah’s annoyed face, really not in the mood to say anything.
"What cheap trick are you playing this time, huh? Couldn’t wait to claim Ella as your mate?" she added, voice just loud enough to be annoying.
I shifted, clearly uninterested in whatever drama she was trying to stir.
Just as I was about to brush past her, she stuck out an arm, blocking me again.
"I get that you’re in a rush, but cool your jets for a sec," Sarah said, grinning like she knew something.
"Don’t you have anything better to do?" I warned, letting a trace of Alpha pressure seep out.
