Nancy didn’t pay much attention when booking the tickets and ended up getting economy class.
It was a three-seat row. Matthias took the middle seat, Nancy sat on the aisle side.
Just then, the person assigned to the window seat finally showed up.
“Excuse me, can I get through?” A sweet voice piped up.
That all-too-familiar wave of nausea hit Nancy. She frowned and looked up—just in time to meet Delilah’s eyes.
Delilah gave her a sugary smile. Once Nancy shifted her knees to the side, Delilah slid into the window seat and chirped, “Thanks.”
“Matthias, Nancy—what a coincidence!” she greeted, all smiles.
Of course, this wasn’t a coincidence. Delilah had deliberately found out Matthias’s travel plans, even specifically booked the seat next to him.
She figured, as long as that crazy woman Nancy wasn’t around, she might finally get somewhere with Matthias on this Canada trip.
