Upon hearing the word "child," Rita felt her blood turn cold.
How could Nelson have the nerve to bring up their child to her?
"Yes, I gave birth to a child," she responded bluntly.
Nelson's voice began to tremble again, "Where is the child?"
Rita smiled and said, "As you wish, I dealed with it."
She remembered how he had been uninterested in their child's birth and only focused on Laurel's illness. Wasn't he the one who gave up their child first?
The air between them turned icy.
Rita glared at him with hatred in her eyes.
However, a moment later, she suddenly grinned.
She smiled brightly, like a poisonous rose.
She no longer fought back; instead, she wrapped her arms around Nelson's neck, whispered into his ear, and said, "Have you forgotten? I told you last time that he looked like you. Unfortunately, he's dead."
Dead?
He was dead!
Nelson was taken aback, the words lingering in his ears.
Did Rita hate him so much?
She didn't even want to keep their child?
