"Yeah," he said coldly and detachedly, trying to compose himself.
"Come in."
He moved away from the door, pointing at a couch.
"Sit here. I'll be back."
He left the room, leaving Jennifer feeling uncomfortable and wondering why he was dressed in nothing but a towel.
Jennifer thought to herself,
"Why is he dressed like this?
Only in a towel, and the towel isn't even tied properly.
His whole chest and stomach are exposed."
She couldn't deny that he was a fine man, but she couldn't get involved with him.
She was here to work, not to indulge in any personal feelings.
She hoped that he would come out soon, hand her the files, and let her work on them so she could leave.
She felt uncomfortable already, and the situation was starting to feel awkward.
