The elevator doors slid shut.
Cramped space, locked eyes-yeah, awkward pretty much summed it up.

"Still feeling sick?"

Their voices clashed, dead air followed.
Calliope figured it had to be Olivia who spilled the beans.
She brushed her hair back, a bit self-conscious. "I'm fine now."
Conrad's gaze, dark and piercing, zeroed in on her. His tone was low, clipped. "Next time I'm not around, stay away from alcohol."
She instinctively tried to explain. "I was just in a good mood last night, so I had a little."
His brows furrowed tight, clearly not amused.
"A good mood?"
He'd been pissed and restless all day yesterday after she stormed off, and she was over here having a grand ol' time?
Did she completely brush off what he said in the morning? Or did she never care in the first place?
