Guess it had just been too long—Conrad Hilliard finished surprisingly fast this time.
Calliope Godfrey, unusually still clear-headed, lay sprawled on the bed, watching him clean up the mess. She couldn't help but press her lips together, trying not to giggle.
Conrad caught her smirking from the corner of his eye. His ears turned a little red, but his voice stayed playfully stern.

He walked back and leaned in, gripping her chin.
