Elaine believed that a mother wouldn't become distant with her son, whom she had carried for ten months and raised for six years, for no reason. Seeing that his grandparents didn't ask him to stay, Xavier knew he should behave and not throw tantrums. He merely sniffled. "Goodbye, Grandma and Grandpa."
