Gemma and Dimitri had just arrived at the amusement park to unwind that weekend. Suddenly, they unexpectedly bumped into Theodore.
He had prepared a whole car full of her favorite pink tulips and brought along the heirloom necklace.
"Gemma, I've rented out this entire amusement park. Today, it belongs only to us. And these are all gifts for you."
He looked at Gemma sincerely, his eyes gentle and his expression calm. It was as if their unpleasant parting a few days earlier had never happened.
She frowned, not even glancing at the gifts, and pulled Dimitri away as she turned to leave.
"An empty amusement park feels lifeless. I don't like it. And I don't want pink tulips or a necklace either. Dimitri, remember not to give me things like this in the future, got it?"
Dimitri nodded, smiling. "I've got it. I always remember what you like. What sticks out the most is how much you loved those handmade paper roses I made—all 9,999 of them!"
