After finishing her pasta, Natalie cleaned up the kitchen. When she walked into the dining room, she immediately noticed Taylor in the wheelchair.
He was parked near the couch with his hands casually resting on the armrests as he stared out the floor-to-ceiling window. It was late, and from the brightly lit room, there was nothing to see outside.
Was he daydreaming? Natalie wondered briefly before heading toward the stairs to take a shower.
But as soon as she put her foot onto the first step, his voice came from behind. "You won't feed me, fine. But you're not going to let me sleep either? Do you plan to leave me here in the living room all night in this wheelchair?"
Natalie turned to look at him. "If you need something, just say it."
Taylor's lips parted slightly. "Help me upstairs."
"I can't lift you."
"My right leg isn't injured. I can walk. I just need some support." He made himself clear.
She walked behind him and pushed the wheelchair to the stairs before bending down
