Losria's afternoon sun shone through the trees, scattering golden patches across the rehabilitation center's lawn. There, Wendy was sitting in a wicker chair, basking in the sun.
After a period of rest, she had mostly recovered. The crease that had long tightened her brows had finally relaxed for once.
Just then, footsteps sounded behind her, accompanied by a familiar voice.
"The wind's just right today. What a great time to bathe in the sun."
She looked up and saw Theodore take the wicker chair across from her.
"How's your recovery? Anything still feeling off?" he asked.
Wendy shook her head, her voice cleaner than before. "I'm much better. Thank you."
"I brought a therapist with me. He's in the lounge over there." Theodore nodded toward a room nearby. "If you're up for it today, it might be a good time to talk."
Wendy went quiet for a moment, then nodded.
