"Mr. Collins, there's a personal delivery for you." The secretary knocked and stepped in, interrupting his train of thought.
Hank gave a tired nod, signaling her to leave the document on his desk and go.
The sender's name on the label—"Chloe"—jumped right out at him, stabbing straight into his brain. He tore the envelope open in a flash, only to see those few bold words: "Divorce Agreement." Heat flared up in his chest, choking him with a sudden, overwhelming rage.
Not that long ago, he'd wished she'd just sign it already so he could be done with her. But now, seeing this cold piece of paper in front of him, all he wanted to do was rip it to shreds.
He hurled the envelope to the floor, but the anger wasn't going anywhere. Was this woman seriously just pushing all his buttons and getting away with it?
He grabbed his phone, punching in a number. "Find out exactly where this package came from."
