Charlie wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses and habitually carried a faint smile at the corner of his mouth when he spoke. This gave him a scholarly vibe.
This was Doria's second encounter with Andrew's family, but unlike Tina, Charlie made her feel inexplicably restrained and uncomfortable.

Soon, the door swung open, and Andrew strode in. He cast a cold glance at Charlie before walking up to Doria and softly asking, "Did he trouble you? Or ask you any strange questions?"
Doria, perceptive as ever, instantly understood that Andrew and Charlie's relationship was strained.
