Chapter 841
Andrew's expression grew darker, his gaze sharpening as if he were calculating how to deal with an impending disaster.
"Run!"
A shout echoed from the mountaintop. It was Aaron's voice, urgent and panicked. Andrew and Hannah looked up to see Aaron and his group scrambling down the mountain in disarray.
There was no time for questions. Hannah's instincts kicked in, and she grabbed Andrew's arm. "We need to move—now!" she said, already pulling him away.
Andrew followed her lead, retreating quickly, but his eyes stayed locked on the group descending from above.
Then he saw it.
A dense black mist was rising behind Aaron's group, swirling and expanding like an ominous storm cloud. It was so dark it seemed to absorb the light around it and so thick it looked almost tangible. At first glance, it might have been mistaken for smoke billowing from the volcano, but Andrew's sharp eyes caught the difference.
This wasn't smoke.
It was something far more sinister.
