Chapter 382

Lyla led Melina from the front while Dante held onto her from behind. They dashed out of the cafeteria and headed to Melina's store. Upon reaching the shop, Melina's eyes widened in surprise. The small shop was flooded with flower baskets—hundreds of congratulatory flower baskets for the opening surrounded the shop in three full layers. Right in front of the main entrance, a couple of musicians with different musical instruments were performing vividly. Music bands were now nearly extinct. It had become a rarity. Few pursued this profession, making it difficult to find performers. Even when they could find them, most people wouldn't arrange for such an event during an opening. Such a performance was what college students highly anticipated. Everyone was chatting and enjoying the sights together. Even the owners of other shops on campus couldn't resist coming over to take a look. At the climactic moment, a voice erupted from the crowd, "Bravo!" Melina's eyes sparkled with excitement. The band had captured all of her attention, yet suddenly, she felt a warm sensation at the nape of her neck. It felt like someone was staring at her. As if sensing something, Melina turned her head in that direction. Initially shocked, she gasped in surprise. "Andrew!" she murmured, her voice trembling with excitement. Andrew was here as well! After seeing him there, she realized who was behind all of these arrangements. She had mentioned to Andrew that she wanted to watch a musical band just the day before. A sweet sensation coursed through her heart. But what would others think with Andrew appearing so openly at her shop's opening? Melina found herself pondering whether their marital status would become public, making it difficult for her to live as an ordinary person on campus afterward. Even Talia, an exceptional individual, had changed her attitude upon learning the truth. So what about everyone else? Melina felt a surge of anxiety. In her flustered state, she failed to notice Andrew's grim expression, his gaze filled with a ferocity akin to a demon awakened from slumber. Dante adjusted his glasses, the gold chain swaying gently at his cheek as he tilted his head slightly to observe Andrew in the distance. He lightly tugged on Melina's sleeve, flashing a smile toward Andrew. The ferocity in Andrew's eyes deepened. Suddenly, he strode over toward Melina. Everyone had been engrossed in the music band, oblivious to the figure approaching from behind. As Andrew drew near, those at the back noticed him, while those at the front continued cheering. The crowd behind fell progressively silent. Everyone, familiar or unfamiliar with Andrew, understood one thing. He was a big shot. Those who knew him were left dumbfounded. Even those unfamiliar with Andrew had seen him at last year's welcome party, where Oscar had personally accompanied him. How could such a prominent figure be present at the opening of a mere parcel collection point? Andrew seemed to retain a sliver of rationality, bypassing Melina to enter the shop directly. Only then did Melina react and hurriedly follow him inside. Shayla and Lyla exchanged glances before entering as well. Undeterred, Louis joined them. Morgan wanted to follow suit, but how could everyone rush in without managing the crowd outside? Thus, he reluctantly picked up the microphone to host the opening. Upon entering, Andrew naturally wrapped an arm around Melina, pulling her onto his lap. Still holding onto Melina's sleeve, Dante was finally compelled to release her. In front of so many people, Melina found her face turning crimson as she softly whispered, "Andrew, everyone is watching." At that moment, she heard Dante's voice laced with mockery. "It has been a long time, Andrew!"
