Chapter 394
It turned out that Wallace was unwilling for anyone to remind Andrew of those brutal pasts in his presence.
Andrew had never considered that someone had cared for him all along.
With his enemies dead, his resentment lay unvoiced. Over the years, he had hated Joseph and Celine, but most of his hatred had been directed at Wallace.
Without uttering a word, Andrew abruptly turned and left.
Wallace quickly called out, "Andrew, where are you going?"
Andrew halted at the door, turning his head to reply, "If you dare to die before I return, I will never forgive you!"
With that, Andrew swung the door of the study open and strode away.
Jason promptly peeked his head in to check on Wallace.
Seeing Wallace still seated with his eyes open, he felt somewhat relieved. He had feared that Andrew would provoke Wallace into yet another bout of anger that could lead to bloodshed.
Before leaving the Wentworth residence, Andrew instructed Tyler and Draven, "Keep a close watch on Grandpa until I return. No one, except the doctor, is allowed near him."
"Understood, Mr. Wentworth."
Upon hearing this, Jason quickly protested, "But if Ms. Melina comes back, she will definitely come to see Mr. Wentworth Senior. He adores her most. I doubt he's going to let us stop Ms. Melina from seeing him."
Andrew paused, "Don't tell her for now."
With that, he departed swiftly.
Jason wanted to explain that he had already informed her.
The call had not gone through, but he had sent a text message to Melina, which couldn't be retracted. Now, it was too late to stop informing her!
But Andrew had already left.
This time, Andrew didn't take anyone with him. Draven, who had followed him every day, also remained behind.
As soon as Andrew left, Esmeralda and the others intended to enter the study. Yet Jason blocked their way.
With Dorothy and the others present, Esmeralda and the rest had no means to force their way in.
At that moment, no one knew where Andrew had gone.
The doctor had stated that Wallace was beyond help. He had, at most, a week or two left.
Esmeralda and the others gathered in a secluded spot.
After contemplation, Esmeralda said, "Amara, you go find Mom and tell her in person that Grandpa is not well. It seems Andrew intends to be away for a bit. This is an opportunity."
Amara nodded. "Understood, I'll go at once."
After speaking, Esmeralda glanced at Ethan, who showed no reaction.
Ethan was deeply worried, unsure of his grandfather's condition. He completely forgot his parents' instructions to seize shares at that moment.
Esmeralda chuckled mockingly. "Amara, you might as well notify Uncle Joseph and Aunt Ashlyn. Grandpa is not dead yet, and the Wentworth residence has many of Andrew's people. I fear Mom may struggle in making arrangements alone."
Had it not been for wanting to secure the shares, she wouldn't care to see Joseph and the others share in the spoils.
However, if she didn't inform Joseph, Celine was now heavily pregnant. Even if she arranged for someone to help, she feared they couldn't stand up against the forces of the people in the Wentworth residence.
If they were to take advantage of Andrew's absence, it must be accomplished quickly without any missteps.
Amara agreed and quickly left.
