Whitney had gripped Jenny by the collar, threatening her. She even slapped Rachel earlier. Noel had never thought of Whitney as a weak or docile person, but this was the first time he had seen her strike back. It was like a little wild cat that had been bullied for too long and finally showed its sharp claws. Whitney glanced around nervously, making sure no one would catch sight of them. The distance between them was enough to raise suspicion if anyone happened to walk in. "I'm not someone who lets others bully me. I may tolerate it once or twice, but I won't keep retreating," Whitney said, taking a few steps back. Noel continued to move closer. He leaned forward slightly and whispered in her ear, "I've bullied you more than twice, and you never fought back. Should I be grateful?" The thought of his sudden kisses and what happened earlier in the building, when he took her into a room without anyone around, flashed through her mind. Whitney immediately understood his implication.
