"Alex!" Alex walked in with his assistant, just in time to see Charlotte throwing herself at him, looking like a complete mess. His brows furrowed. Out of reflex, he took a step back to dodge her. "Alex, they bullied me." Charlotte clung to his arm, tears in her eyes. "She hit me. She knows I'm your fiancée, but she still hit me." She pointed straight at Olivia, who was leaning casually against Dane Price, as if she were tattling to daddy. Olivia sat up, gave Alex a cool smile. "So this is what it looks like when you lose a fight and call your boyfriend for backup?" Alex ignored her and locked eyes with Madeleine instead. Quietly shaking off Charlotte's hand, he stepped toward Maddy. "Why are you at the hospital?" he asked. Maddy kept her head down, didn't say a word. Alex gently grabbed her wrist and looked her over quickly. When he didn't see any obvious injuries, he sighed in relief. He had assumed Maddy would still be in Yarrin, especially with Charlotte just returning to Pinebrook
