Danna looked worried, her eyes fixed on Aman. "Can you… get out?"
Aman shook her head. "They don't fully trust me, but I'm on good terms with the guys who bring in fruits and vegetables. I'll try to sneak out a message. Just remember—whatever happens, don't react."

Danna gave a tense nod.
This was their only shot—Aman finding a way to warn someone.

Danna sat on the bed, nervously glancing around.
This place was in the middle of nowhere—mountains, wild terrain—nowhere to run.
She took a deep breath and lay back down, still shaken.
Fear and anxiety pulled her into sleep fast.
Somewhere in her drifting thoughts, a nightmare took over—snakes slithered up onto her, one sank its fangs into her neck, and more followed, wrapping around her like a suffocating net.
"Ah!" She jolted awake, gasping, scanning the dark room. Night had fallen. No clue whether Aman made it or not.
