Chapter Fifty Nine - Rebuilding the Bakery
Amelia Hartwell found herself wandering the vast room, her fingers tracing the spines of leather-bound books. She'd finished her kitchen duties early, and with Alessandro busy in meetings, she decided to explore the family's impressive collection.
"I never thought I'd see so many books in one place," Amelia murmured to herself, pausing to admire a particularly ornate tome.
As she moved along the shelves, a faint whiff of cinnamon caught her attention. Curious, she followed the scent, weaving between the towering bookcases until she reached a secluded corner of the library.
"That's odd," she said, frowning at a row of antique books. "Why would I smell cinnamon all the way over here?"
Amelia ran her hand along the shelf, feeling the worn leather bindings. Suddenly, her fingers caught on something – a small, almost imperceptible groove behind one of the books. Intrigued, she gently pulled the book forward.
A soft click echoed in the quiet library, and a hidden compartment swung open
