Oliver's POV
I can’t imagine a world without Maya by my side. Without her, this world would be nothing short of hell.
What Vera did to me, those hallucination spells, was the worst experience of my life. When it finally ended, I was about to go searching for Maya, desperate to see her with my own eyes. But before I could move, Henry linked me. He told me Maya was safe... and that she was the one who had stopped Vera.
I had been scorched by the sun, but none of that pain compared to the ache had felt in my chest. Brina had moved me into the shade long before it got worse. My burns were gone already, my body heals fast. Usually, I can handle about forty-five minutes of sunlight before I need to retreat for a while, just to survive another round.
Damien and his ranked wolves were still lying on the ground, paralyzed.
Then I saw her.
Maya, she appeared with Ciara, and the moment my eyes landed on her, my heart clenched. I didn’t even think, I ran straight to her and pulled her into my arms
