The car's hood was crumpled, with smoke still rising from it. It looked pretty bad.
Amaya leaned over for a closer look, and when she saw the extent of the damage, she immediately felt guilty.
"Mister, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen. I'll cover the costs. Just please don't report this to the police."
Blaine turned his gaze toward Amaya. Honestly, this woman wasn't bad—she was definitely his type.
He smirked. "Are you Julie's friend?"
Amaya nodded. "Best friend and former roommates."
Blaine raised an eyebrow. "Since you're friends, this should be easy. How about we have a chat?" He waved for Julie to leave.
Julie knew exactly what Blaine was thinking. He was trying to separate her from Amaya, and she wasn't going to let that happen.
Before she could speak, Amaya leaned in and whispered, "Jules, your friend is so handsome. He's totally my type."
Julie was left speechless. Well, it seemed her concerns were unnecessary.
