Chapter 281
Wendy's gut always reflected the way she felt.
She pressed a hand down against her hurting stomach. The sun that hung outside the window was radiant, but her body felt cold.
All she wanted was to leave both the Frank and Sanders families so she could live her life the way she wanted to. Unfortunately, the obstacles she faced were unending and overwhelmed her.
A wave of dizziness swept over Wendy. She shut her eyes and curled up on the couch, slowly falling asleep.
She felt like she was trapped in a long and unending dream, unable to escape.
Suddenly, the sound of her doorbell being pressed urgently woke her up.
Wendy woke up with a jolt, her eyes snapping open. She realized the tank top she was wearing was drenched in sweat.
The doorbell was still ringing. She sat up and noticed that the sun outside the window was no longer as bright.
