Jeffrey firmly refused. "You should focus on your studies right now. Don't overwork yourself and ruin your health. I can still manage. I'll figure out the money issue."
Joanne, understanding the situation, chimed in, "Jack, don't worry about me. I'll stop buying snacks and use my school supplies more sparingly."
But Jack shook his head resolutely. "My part-time job is very easy and related to my major. It won't wear me out."
