Chapter 1380
Clement's thoughts drifted to his wife, and he sighed heavily.
"My wife is still on the streets every night, running her barbecue stand. I always help her pack up after work every day."
His voice trembled with emotion as he spoke of his wife, revealing the depth of his feelings. His colleagues, moved by his sincerity, quietly wiped away their tears.
They nodded in admiration, murmuring that Clement truly was a good man. Even with all he was going through, his wife was still out there, working hard at her barbecue stand.
Suddenly, the door was flung open with a loud crash.
A group of burly men stormed in. One of them shouted, "Who's Clement Simms?"
Clement frowned. "I'm Clement Simms. And you are?" he asked calmly, though his mind was racing.
Who were these guys? They were so rude. He'd have someone deal with them later.
A bald young man pulled out a badge and showed it to Clement, his tone cold. "We have a few matters that require your cooperation in an investigation."
Clement
