Out on the terrace, Jonathan was pacing back and forth, chain-smoking like he was trying to set a record. His frustration was written all over his face.
Willie followed him out, plucking the cigarette from his fingers. "Didn't you say you were going to quit smoking?" she scolded.
He waved her off, his tone sharp. "Leave me alone, Willie."
With his messy hair and sour expression, he looked like a storm barely contained. Willie glanced back toward the glass doors, noticing me and Teri deep in conversation. I was fiddling with my phone, clearly conflicted, while Teri kept nudging me to make a call.
Willie sighed, slid the door shut for privacy, and turned back to Jonathan. "Alright. What's going on? Is this about Logan and Ari?"
Jonathan let out a sharp exhale, his jaw tight. "No. I've got enough on my plate without worrying about those two. But I'll tell you this much—if Logan doesn't marry my sister, I'll make him regret it."
