Orphy's voice pulled everyone's attention back from their thoughts.
Melody turned to look at Jason. He was wearing a black bomber jacket, but the fabric around his left arm was a shade darker than the rest of the fabric. The bleeding wasn't obvious unless closely looked at.
Jason muttered under his breath, "I... I'm fine."
But Melody ignored him. She knew Jason all too well. Ever since they were kids, he had always kept everything to himself. He never complained, no matter how hurt or upset he was.
Without another word, she led him into the office, found the first aid kit, and got ready to treat his injury.
Just then, Jeremy walked in. He glanced at Jason's arm and calmly said, "Let me handle it."
Melody paused. Meanwhile, Jason's expression immediately darkened. The refusal in his eyes couldn't have been more obvious. "No."
Melody said, "I'm better at bandaging than you are."
Jeremy raised an eyebrow. "Are you questioning a surgeon's ability to treat wounds?" He looked at Jaso
