Chapter 40
It had been more than an hour since the operation started.
Cillian sat in the waiting hall, tapping his feet impatiently, while staring at the clock about the Operation Room's door.
His expression, although from the outside, looked composed and collected, was anything but inside.
The moment the light had turned on above the door, indicating that the surgery had started, Cillian felt a heavy feeling settle in his chest and as the seconds ticked by, it felt like his heart was being squeezed by the hands of anxiety itself.
A very odd feeling. The last time Cillian had ever felt this way was when he was a kid, after the death of his parents, yet, here he was, feeling that exact same way now.
But, he tried to convince himself it was normal, after all, Regina was in there, undergoing a surgery that could make or break her life and he was no robot, so, feeling slightly anxious, was normal.
It was all because of Regina and no one else.
That was what he kept telling himself as the minutes ticke
