Despite being back in her old room, Bellatrix barely got a wink of sleep.
She got up at the rise of the sun, showered and made her way towards her father's room.
The hallway was empty, devoid of the maids that roamed the house just yesterday. The quiet brought on the kind of peace that Bellatrix wholeheartedly welcomed.
“Good morning, Madam.”
Her feet stopped at the greeting and she looked over her shoulder, eyes failing on the only maid she'd not fired.
