Chester and Mandy were the only ones left in the living room. Mandy was Chester's second wife. He stared at her disappointedly. Before heading out of the country, he knew he'd be swamped with work, so he left his assistant and butler behind to take care of things while he was gone. But it wasn't even a month after he left when they both went looking for him overseas. Chester found out from them that Mandy was keen on flexing her authority. So, as soon as she got the chance, she fired both of them and brought in her own men. Later on, Chester, still overseas, found out about Violet's two car accidents because of Archer and how she had ditched Dylan. Only then did he realize Mandy had quietly spoiled Violet, making her someone who had lost her sense of purpose. The Paddens had always been cutthroat and quick to act, never letting romantic relationships get in the way and always putting family first. They always bounced back fast no matter how hard the heartbreak hit them. They wou
