Celeste had been giving Jacob the cold shoulder for two days now. She even refused to look at him. Jacob felt utterly wronged. That woman was one of his secretaries. When he took over the post, she was already there, along with several male secretaries. It wouldn't have been appropriate for him to fire her the moment he assumed the role. Who would've thought that this particular female secretary came from an influential family and, emboldened by her connections, acted with reckless disregard?
