••• Damien’s POV ••• Both Eros and I were seething with rage as we saw our mate sleeping peacefully after having dinner. I couldn’t believe the audacity that fucker, Elijah, had for doing such despicable acts. From what Victoria told me, as well as what Carl had gathered from the she-wolf who had helped her, Elijah not only imprisoned our mate but also shackled and tried to mark my Luna, even though she was only my contracted Luna. How dare he?! I would have killed the bastard if not for Cathy bringing Evelyn out to exchange her for Victoria. The thought of Victoria choosing to let herself be left behind while Cathy brought Evelyn to me made my blood boil with rage again. I raised my fist, and it connected with the wall of my study, creating a dent in it. It was the least I could do to release my anger. Nope, it wasn’t even close enough because I also blamed myself.
