Finally…
Today was the day of my meeting with Elijah.
Damien wanted to accompany me, but I told him I could handle this matter alone since he needed to go to his company.
After all, this was my parents’ legacy. I much preferred to look Elijah in the eye and see how he had lost.
Although Damien had purchased the company under the disguise of a small, unknown company, it was his, and he had asked me to put my signature on the contract.
Who knew I would get such a great ally when I called him during my imprisonment? And who knew he was in need of a contractual Luna at the same time, which led to us needing each other.
I couldn’t imagine what would happen if Damien thought I was pranking him during that call, or if he didn’t need a contractual Luna. I wouldn’t be here right now.
