Chapter 26-02

"If you have any questions, ask me and I'll tell you," Layton said, pointing at himself. "Okay," I replied. I offered a casual shrug, and walked back to bed. Layton's eyes were focused on me, all the way from the couch until I got under the covers and laid down once again. "What are you doing?" he asked with a husky voice. I was wiggling against him, trying to make myself comfortable. "I'm taking a nap. My parents aren't home, might as well enjoy the freedom," I replied, shrugging and closing my eyes. I wasn't sleepy anymore, but it felt nice to lie down in bed next to him. "I'll stay here with you so that you're not alone," Layton said, laying down facing me as well. I snuggled into his chest, feeling his tense muscles relax when they came into contact with me. Layton placed his hand over the small of my back and moved me closer to his chest.
