The snow in Caelmoor had finally melted.
But Sebastian still hadn't come home.
When Elaria glanced at the calendar, she realized-it was already the 12th. That violinist's concert? It was tonight at eight.
Out of nowhere, she just really wanted to go. Alone.
The housekeeper was worried, trying to reason with her, "You only just got better. If you catch a chill now, it'll make everything worse."
Elaria replied casually, "I'll wear a thick down coat."
The housekeeper had no choice but to dig one out of the closet and helped her get dressed. She even wrapped her up in a warm cashmere scarf. "At least let the driver go with you. If not, I'll have to let Mr. Richards know."
Elaria nodded.
Five minutes later, she was sitting in the black town car.
After confirming the destination, the driver stepped on the gas.
The car rolled out of Imperial Crest Residences, leaving behind the lights of home, while the neon of the city gradually lit up outside the windows-bright, chaotic, and full of life.
