"Anna, I'd like you to meet Margot Sinclair," he said. "She's one of the most respected curators in the country. Margot, this is Anna Petrovic."
Margot extended her hand, which Anna shook firmly. "It's a pleasure to meet you, my dear," Margot said. "I couldn't help but overhear your interpretation of the piece. You have a good eye."
Anna felt a blush creep up her cheeks at the compliment. "Thank you," she replied. "I'm still learning, but I find art fascinating."
"The best collectors and critics never stop learning," Margot said with a wink. "Erik, you must bring her to more of these events. It's refreshing to hear new perspectives."
As Margot moved away to greet other guests, Erik leaned in close to Anna. "You're impressing people left and right," he murmured, a note of pride in his voice.
