LUCIAN’S POV
The cold morning air bit at my skin as I darted through the dense forest in my wolf form, my paws crushing fallen leaves as I sprinted through Ashridge’s northern woods. My muscles ached for release, for control. Everytime I close my eyes, the image of Elora in Lucas’s arms replays in my head over and over—her soft smile, his hand resting gently on her lower back, Lucas whispering in her ear like he owned her.
My growl echoed through the trees.
I pushed harder, faster, letting the wind slice across my fur, needing the pain of the harsh movement to burn away the chaos inside. But even that didn't work.
By the time I shifted back, sweat rolled down my bare chest and my breathing was ragged. I was halfway to the mansion when Aiden met me on the trail, already dressed and clearly waiting.
“You forgot the council meeting,” Aiden said bluntly, his brows drawn tight. “It's in an hour. Rogue attacks are escalating in the neighbouring packs, Lucian.”
