Sydney 's POV
One month had passed since Grandma Doris fell into a coma, and the days seemed to blur together. Business was thriving, and Lucas and I had grown closer than ever. On the surface, everything appeared to be going well.
Today was the day Alexander and Sandra were set to announce their engagement. Sandra had been incessantly posting about it all over social media.
Grace was absentmindedly scrolling through one of Sandra's many pre-wedding reels when she mused, "I wonder how Alexander and Sandra's wolves feel about this union."
I merely raised an eyebrow, choosing not to respond. Grace hadn't looked up, so I assumed she wasn't expecting an answer. Besides, I didn't care enough about either of them to form an opinion. Perhaps I did care a bit about how Alexander felt.
Aria stirred restlessly. "You still care about him, don't you?" she prodded gently.
